Better World Day is an annual, national event showcasing student learning that contributes to a better world. Students present projects and engage in acts of service that show the power of ELeducation’s vision for public school: a place where children become citizen scholars who actively make a positive impact. This year, Amana students are tackling e-waste in our community in partnership with Green Wave Electronics, a local company that provides ethical, secure electronics recycling services. We’re hosting an e-waste recycling drive next week, May 2-6, the culminates on Better World Day. Green Wave will be on campus with collection bins all week, so gather up all your old keyboards, wires, cords, cell phones, etc, and bring them to Amana next week.
