Second graders were busy installing a pollinator garden in our school's learning garden today. They're providing a habitat for bees, ladybugs, butterflies and other beneficial pollinator species that will help our garden grow. Just this morning, we spotted a monarch butterfly larva (caterpillar) on a milkweed leaf. This is the culminating project for the students' year-long learning expedition that focuses on sustainability in our community.
