Thank You for Participating in E-Waste Recycling

Ewaste

That’s a wrap on #BetterWorldDay, folks! Thank you to all of the families, students, community members and businesses who brought their e-waste for recycling. Today, students, parents and staff had the opportunity for a tour of the Green Wave Electronics facility in Atlanta. We saw how items are sorted, tested, refurbished, put through rigorous quality control tests, and either returned to the market or shipped off to be broken down and recycled. We will know early next week just how much e-waste we diverted from landfills, but our partners at Green Wave estimated it to be over 1000 lbs. Great job, Amana crew!

Didn’t get a chance to bring your e-waste last week? No worries! Green Wave supplied us with a permanent collection bin so we can continue to collect your electronic waste to be recycled.
